They say it best reflects the terroir it is grown in more than any other red grape, so while its home and benchmark style is in Burgundy, France, it is grown all over the world, and appreciated by devotees who love seeing various representations of the variety in action.
While good Pinot Noir should always be lighter bodied, that should not be mistaken for weakness, as it is famously among the most complex and nuanced wines in the world.
