Gather is excited to offer private workshops! This is a great way to try your hand at glassblowing, celebrate a special occasion, come together as a team or spend an afternoon with a group of special folks that will leave you with fun memories, a sense of accomplishment and a piece of beautiful glass art that you had a hand in creating.
You'll have a chance to work under guidance of an experienced glassblower, learn about the rich art and history of glassblowing, experience an exciting demonstration and have all your questions about this unique craft answered.

* Please note, pieces made in workshops will be ready for pickup within three days, as they must cool in the annealer overnight.

Have you ever wished you could craft your very own glass pumpkin? Here’s your chance! For the very first time, we’re welcoming pumpkin lovers and fall fans into the hot shop. Pick your favorite colours, blow your pumpkin shape using an optical mold, and watch as our amazing glassblower, Tobias, crown it with a charming twisty stem!

Workshops are $100 / person, and last approx. 20 minutes.

You can select the date and time of your workshop when booking.

For the one-piece workshop you'll get the choice of making a paperweight or a glass ball that is approximately 4.5" in diameter. You get to choose the colours!
For the three-piece workshop you will make a paperweight, a glass ball and a drinking glass.
You will be the only participant present during your workshop. If you're coming as a group, and have booked back to back workshops, you can all be present during the workshop(s).
Usually within 3 days, but it can be longer depending on the size of your group. Our artists will confirm this with you during your workshop.
Absolutely! We can ship anything to you if you are unable to pick it up in person.
You do! If you aren't comfortable though, our talented artist will be able to help or step in at any point.
Jeans and flat, closed-toed shoes are best, a t-shirt with a hoodie which can be removed if you get warm. We provide water and eye protection. Don't forget your phone - you're encouraged to take photos and videos of your experience (don't forget to tag us)!

You can reschedule the workshop yourself using the "reschedule" link in your confirmation email. If rescheduling doesn't work, we can offer you a refund provided we have 48 hours notice of your cancellation.
Please note that "No shows" will not receive refunds.
A drink and some snacks are a great way to round out your workshop!
If you're hoping to eat we recommend that you make a reservation. If you would just like some drinks, no reservations are needed.
We ask that you not consume alcohol before your workshop!
