Style Spotlight: German Weiss

Welcome to our STYLE SPOTLIGHT event series where we feature a style made at Gather alongside five examples of the same style from around Ontario and BEYOND!

We broke onto the brewing scene as a bottle shop and bar representing incredible local brews from talented craft breweries and we want to continue to highlight what our peers are doing and how we all learn from each other!

To Gather is to come together.


Our third event in this series will be a celebration of an Oktoberfest style on Thursday September 24 at 6pm, Spotlighting the “German Weiss”. A broad style boasting flavours of banana and clove often served with citrus and varying in levels of haze or clarity. This round will be including some international beers to display an authentic comparison!

Our Hefeweizen will be tasted following it's debut at our Oktoberfest weekend running September 18th-20th!

Our list was thoughtfully curated by our brewer Doch Dendy who will be tasting alongside you, exploring the style while paired with delicious snacks by Chef Jeff.
